Maybelline Volume Express Mascara

Maybelline Volume Express Mascara is currently number 4 on the Best Selling Mascara list. The original "Volum' Express comes in regular (called washable) and waterproof in Black. The washable version also comes in Brown. The washable formula is also available in a curved brush version. All of these promise 3X the volume with no clumping. It is a good volume mascara - one of my favorites. If you are looking for "eye drama" give it a try, if you like the "natural look", you should probably pass this one up.

There are several other versions of this mascara. They are:
Volume Express Turbo Boost
Turbo Boost also comes in regular (washable) and waterproof versions. Both are available in Black only. The washable version promised 7X the volume, the waterproof, 5X. The Waterproof version won the Self Magazine Best Waterproof Mascara in the 2007 Healthy Beauty Awards. This is one of my favorite waterproof mascaras, if not my favorite. It does give me great volume without clumping. My only complaint is that it can be difficult to remove.



I was playing around with the webcam on my laptop - here is my Turbo Volume Express Before & After. The top photo was with no mascara at all, the bottom is wearing two coats of Waterproof Volume Express Turbo Boost. (I'm not sure you can tell anything other than I need to work on my photography skills!)

Colossal Volume Express
Colossal Volume Express is the newest member of the Volum' Express family. There is no waterproof version. It comes in four shades - two different shades of blacks and browns. It was introduced with great fanfare, but I was under-whelmed when I tried it. Maybe because I prefer waterproof, but I do prefer the Turbo Boost to the Colossal. Maybe Maybelline will do a waterproof version soon.
