Green Mascara

Estee Lauder Green Mascara

Green Mascara is rapidly gaining popularity, as are all colored mascaras. Green is most often suggested to accent blue eyes, but can easily be used with any eye color. When Estee Lauder introduced their limited edition colored mascaras the emerald green color (pictured above) was the first color to sell out. (We're talking dark, emerald green.) A little bit of color on your lashes can really make your eyes pop and bring out specific highlights in your clothing. Theto accentuate your eye's natural color and beauty without screaming green eye lashes!!!!

When buying colored mascara, look for a brand that's waterproof. Green tears if you get caught in a rainstorm would be a huge embarrassment. Secondarily, try to find a mascara that's hypoallergenic. Your eyes are sensitive, and the skin near your eyes is no where near as toughened as the rest of your body. Having a hypoallergenic formula protects you should the choice of mascara not be as waterproof and flake-proof as promised.

No matter what, remember that mascaras are not created equal. Some mascara that is green actually looks blue when its applied, while others can hardly be seen. Lash primers might help with lasting color definition, but finding a quality product that's dependable is really the key.

Green Mascara Tips:

Apply under-eye concealer. Colored mascara will draw attention to the fine points of your eyes. You don't want those “points” to be dark circles and wrinkles!

When wearing green or any colored mascara, try applying your regular mascara first to provide the desired lengthening, definition and/or volume, then follow with a few coats of green to provide your "pop" of color.

Blinc Kiss Me Green MascaraRecommended Product

I really love Blinc Kiss Me Mascara - it is the mascara that forms the little tubes around your lashes. It is completely waterproof & stays on until you take it off. It works well alone or over another mascara if you want more volume or definition and they have a great green color.
