Eye Shadow Base
Until you have used Eye Shadow Base, you will never believe the difference it can make. It is one of those products that you will wonder how you lived without it. There are a variety of benefits to using Eye Shadow Primer. It is to your eyes what a good foundation product is to the rest of your face! If you want your look to last all day (or all night) long, an effective, crease-free eye shadow base needs to be part of your beauty kit. In addition to making your eye makeup last until you take it off, it also makes your eye shadow look more vibrant, because the color doesn't fade into the skin. Applying Eye Shadow Primer Less is more - it takes just a tiny amount on each eyelid. Start at your eyelashes and work upward. Smooth out any visible crinkles or lines. You can also mix a tiny amount with your mineral makeup eyeliner powder to create a smooth creamy eyeliner that is easy to apply and lasts all day. Recommended Products:

A less expensive alternative - I do love that cute little Genie bottle and the product is fabulous - but it isn't cheap and it is very hard to get the product out of the bottle - you have to remove the inner rim of the bottle (with needle-nose pliers - I learned that from a beauty forum!) to get to the second half of the product. Recently I joined BeautiControl for their skin care products and stumbled upon their Eye Shadow Control Cream. I figured it wouldn't be as good as the more expensive primers - but much to my delight it is every bit as good. They make it in three colors - neutral, pink and taupe. You get a one-half ounce tube for $8 and it just takes a tiny dot of the product - it will last a very long time and is much more economical than the better known brands. I have also started using the taupe as a shadow on casual days to give a bit of color without going the full route - so it doubles as a cream eye shadow.
